Traveling Love Dice

At dinner the other night, conversation turned to 'personal' items, specifically when you misplace them at home and guests inadvertently find them. Awkward!

We decided the easiest-to-lose are Love Dice (a friend gave me some for Valentine's Day and yeah, I hardly ever know where they are), which somehow morphed into taking pictures of our dice while on vacation at famous landmarks and posting them in a Facebook group, a la the traveling gnome. No competition, just something to make each other laugh. I think I'm going to invest in glow-in-the-dark dice. Imagine the possibilities!

I am just waiting for my income tax return and then I'm buying a new camera .... FINALLY my digital SLR YESSSSSSS!!!!!

My best friends sent me a pair of those in a valentine's day package, they are still in the package.....I didn't really know what I would do with them......actually using them with my boyfriend seemed hokey, haha.....I'll take a look at the group - thanks for the idea :o)
Maybe they can go with me on my trip in April?!?!

Bye Bye Bali, Plus Daily Life

My grandma is not doing well. So, I am no longer going to Bali and Beijing over my break; instead, I'll be flying back to the U.S. to spend time with her and other family. I was looking forward to these trips, but Bali and Beijing will be there for a long while. Grandma comes first. I am sure those of you reading can understand and would do the same thing. Now, a few things to share about daily life in China: 1. Street cleaning trucks in my city play "Happy Birthday" in a high-pitched tone, over and over and over. There is also a techno version of Happy Birthday they play in clubs. How "Happy Birthday" became both of these things, I have no idea, but I never want to hear "Happy Birthday" again. 2. A guy I barely knew in my city asked me to dinner, in 2009. We went, no chemistry (even as friends) from my point of view, so I was shocked when he asked me if I wanted to have dinner and watch a movie with him that weekend. Sometimes first dates just aren't great, so I said yes. But then, on the bus ride home, I realized he meant eat dinner and watch a movie at his apartment.
